Introduction

This page is dedicated to the individual.

It is unwise to place the needs of the group over the rights of the person. Collectivist organizations care no more for their individual members than a person cares for his or her individual atoms. To some, we are just a part of the host body, smaller and less important than the whole. To others, we are tools to be used by the group and to be disposed of when no longer useful.

Fascism, nationalism, socialism, communism; though they differ in label and motivation, all of these (and many others) accept the premise that individual desires should be subordinate to the will of the majority. The trouble with this premise is that the majority is as selfish and indecent as the average person. Anointed leaders are more indecent.

This page is a caution to those who place authority over liberty. To do so places the individual person at the mercy of the tyrant and the mob.
