Green Hell

Green Hell is a non-traditional salsa. It's spicy and nutritious.

Ingredients:

Directions:

Boil the broccoli, spinach, peppers, and green onions in filtered water until they're as cooked as you like them - a matter of personal taste. I like them well-done. The less water you can get away with, the better. Steaming them is ideal.

In a smaller pot, boil and simmer the garlic and spices. Use as little water as you can get away with without scorching it.

Drain the water from the veggies. Put the veggies and the spice-broth in the blender. Mix in as much olive oil as you like - the more you use, the smoother the final mixture will be. Olive oil is good for you, so go crazy if you want. I use half a cup or so.

Finally, tell the blender to chop it all up and mix it all together. The result is tasty and spicy. It's not total burnination on the first bite; it's has a subtle, cumulative burn that creeps up on you.

It's also a shitload of nutrition compressed into a small volume. It's great for those who want to eat healthy, but hate vegetables. Astronauts could live on this stuff up in space.
