The SFP were a big hit at Thanksgiving. Simple, yet delicious.
Ingredients:
Directions:
Chop up the potatoes. You can make them long, like French (oops, Freedumb) Fries, or just quarter them like home fries. Whatever the fuck you want.
Put the potatoes and the garlic in a nice deep skillet and fill it up with canola oil. Turn up the heat and boil the whole mess until the potatoes start to get brown around the edges; the insides should be nice and soft. I generally start the stove on high then turn it down a few notches. Use a spatula to keep the fries from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
Once the mess is cooked, drain all the canola oil. Don't lose the little pieces of garlic - they are tasty.
Once the cooking oil is gone, it's time for the flavor oil. Pour just enough olive oil over the mess so that you get a nice light coating of it when you stir it up.
Sprinkle the whole mess with sea salt, cumin, red pepper, and black pepper. I can't tell you how much, because this is totally personal taste. So taste it. After you've stirred it up to distribute the spices evenly, that is.
It's easy to halve or double this recipe, but you'd better have a bigass pot if you want to fry up four potatoes.
